On Friday December 15th at the monthly Commissioners meeting our two new K-9 teams were sworn in by Mayor Bill Stevens.

Cpl. Carl Kurten and his partner K-9 SMOKE took the oath first, then PFC Dylan Ebke and his partner K-9 JASPER were sworn in.

In a very short time in their new roles both teams have made a positive impact on the capabilities of our agency. The increased visibility and foot patrols of these teams is a welcomed dimension to the Dewey Beach Police Department.
